WAITING FOR HIGH TIDE

We spotted this young seal resting on an inaccessible beach below the sea wall. It looked sleek and healthy and didn't seem to be injured or distressed (see extra), and since they're often found on the beaches at this time of year the local advice is to leave them alone because mum will probably not be far away, or they'll make their own way back into the sea. At least no dogs could get down to that bit of beach to worry it. High tide was an hour away, so we didn't wait to see what happened.
