Dramatic Weather

Today has been one of strong contrasts ranging from roasting sunshine to heavy rain and thunder.  I was at Waddesdon Manor in the House for the afternoon where it was hot and humid - all our visitors were commenting on the heat both inside and out; it's hard to recall just how cold it can be inside during the winter!

Later on a storm was clearly brewing and it was certainly a very turbulent atmosphere. There was a continuous barrage of thunder with relentless flashes - but almost all sheet lightning and very few forks - I did, though, give it a go with tripod etc although only managed a couple of shots with anything in them.  The continuous sheet lightning gave too much light but, it's my first attempt at this; we get so few decent storms so another opportunity may not some along for a while. Everything is quiet again now.
