Secret places!

Today was meant to be our school sports day. I loaded up the car in vain hope that the rain would hold off.
We've had about 4 weeks of dry warm weather....
....
... and today it chose to 'chuck it down'!!!
So at 5 past 9 we cancelled sports day and ran around the building catching as many parents that were still dropping kids off as we could as well as putting texts out.

Much later, well after school had finished and I was still working around, now that the rain had ceased, I went to unload the car and out everything away.
As I walked down the path a duck 'jumped' out at me and was 'asking' me something!?! So I dutifully raided the staff room for crackers and went back out to him but he'd moved in into the reception playground. By the time I got in there he'd moved on again but before I came to that conclusion I had a good wander round and discovered that this beautiful little walkway really only was for little people as you had to climb through a small circular opening to get in and out!
I hope it's beauty is not lost on the kids. It certainly is a very lovely place to be! :)
