Culross Palace and Gardens

A beautiful May bank holiday so we headed east and ended up at Culross rather by accident.   The palace and gardens are well worth a visit - fascinating history and magnificent views across the Forth towards the industry in Grangemouth.

Difficult to pick just one shot to sum up the day, but this photo gives a feel for the calm beauty in the cottage garden to the rear of the Palace.   I wouldn't fancy being the gardener here - extremely steep but the views from the top of the garden are well worth the climb.
