Holker Gardens.

Paul, Maria and me enjoyed visiting the very warm and beautiful Holker Gardens.
The estate belongs to the Cavendish family and has  exquisitely managed gardens.
There is an ancient Lime tree in the grounds, The Holker Lime and quite famous in the arboreal world.
The world and his brother with some sweet well behaved dogs, were in the courtyard café as we enjoyed  our sandwiches at lunchtime.
Suddenly a strong wind blew and two large sun umbrellas came down.
The gift shops there are delightful.
