Ouch!

I was standing at the bedroom window, contemplating the coming day, when the neighborhood sparrow hawk took a fancy to an unfortunate blackbird. The panicked blackbird crashed into our window, bounced off, pulled itself together, and flew off, apparently unscathed. The sparrow hawk went hungry.
