Calm After The Storm

It's hard to believe that only 12 hours before I took this photo, Northampton was hit by flash flooding which has caused damage to many homes in the town. So far there are no reports of injury though several people needed rescuing from flooded buildings and vehicles. My house is thankfully on higher ground and the only damage was to some garden plants.

The extra pic is of a road in the town centre where the flooding ran under the tarmac, causing it to erupt and distort.

The rose belongs to my neighbour; it was peeping over the my fence.
