Sad News

Today I learned of the passing of a good friend from my university days. I'm shocked and a little bit numb. It was very unexpected news.

Depression is such a debilitating illness and one that I hadn't known he had been battling for the last 18 months. He leaves behind his wife (another dear friend) and two young children. I'm so sad for them and saddened that I cannot be there to mourn and say goodbye and be there for all my friends.

I hope and pray he has now found the peace he was missing in this world.
