Winter Coat
Youngest daughter and her partner headed into Portree last night to nip to the shop, as they opened the door to leave the house they realised it was snowing. They were only in Portree for about half an hour but by the time they were heading home the snow on the roads was so bad they had to park up the car and call us to come and pick them up in the 4 x 4! I posted a couple of pics on facebook and one of my friends could n't believe the amount of snow we had had in such a short space of time, she lives less than 50 miles from us and they had n't seen a single snowflake! Later on thunder and lightening added a bit of excitement to the mix!
By eleven thirty at night the snow had turned back to rain and I was convinced that all the snow would be gone by morning but to my surprise it was still clinging on so hubby and I took a drive up the north end of the island so that I could get a blip of the old Man of Storr with his winter coat on. Needless to say there were several other blippers there, all with their large cameras, tripods and multiple lenses. I felt very inadequate with my little camera and a fence post to balance it on! Never mind I think the blip turned out ok anyway!
