A different landscape

Someone will know exactly where in the North of England these hills are. I glimpsed them this morning from the plane from London to Glasgow, just as we came out of thick cloud. If anybody can identify the spot and even name them, then please tell me and I will add the map location to the blip.

The dusting of snow emphasises the contours and also the change in climate in the 20 hours since I left Malawi - coming from Southern Hemisphere summer (albeit the start of the rainy season) to an early starting Northern Hemisphere winter.

A contrast too with the view from an aircraft I blipped last Sunday !
