Takeaway

I have been meaning to photograph Bing for awhile now. She has worked in my local Chinese takeaway for years. She is always friendly and formidably efficient, reading my order back on the phone in her clear but rapid delivery: 'That's... WonTonSoupNoNodlesSweetnSourPrawnWitBoilriceBlackBeanSpeacialNoBeefNoMSGExtraPork.... 10minutesThanksYou.'

She was happy enough to let me photograph her, by herself and with the customers (it was a quiet night, a light dusting of snow blowing in the door, resting like dandruff on peoples' coats.
