Lichen

This morning I was revisited by Dr P.P. who is an expert on mires and rich fen. He is managing meadows in the area and is a particular expert on ours and our neighbours which were the subject of his doctorate. Small world! So I found out a bit more about the mires and rich fens and I hope I'll find out some more. There are lots of plants to photograph, but next year now! This lichen is apparently unusual but I'm afraid I can't tell you its name. Perhaps a lichen expert out there can help!

D's aunt and uncle visited for lunch. We had Chinese stewed pork and Thai chicken in red sauce. D made a gluten free sharlotka which in spite of the extra time in the oven, came out fine!
