View From St. Johns

There is a nice mansion in St. Johns that overlooks the Willamwtte River. The house is privately owned, but the large yard to one side seems to be a City park. The only indicators are the one tin garbage can and a sign that lists the do's and dont's of enjoying a city park. We sat outside the fence on the grassy bank this afternoon when the sun was the exact right temperature for brushing away the occasional fly, pulling lovely stems of long grasses, and gazing out at a bright blue river.
