Swan family

I did not get too close but there was still some hissing and beating of wings.  This morning I took three repaired mechanisms in to the shop to recase them.  This is often the trickiest part of the job when you find, for instance, that that the hammer does not quite reach the gong and the movement has to be removed and recased several times until all functions correctly.  However, I was finished by lunchtime which was a good thing as I had my quarterly appointment to see Sister Rachel.  We had our usual productive chat during which she asks all the difficult questions and I stumble around lamely trying to answer them.
