Wastin' Time..

A trip to Bantry today to attempt to catch another ferry and send some more cards over - Whiddy Island this time. I had attempted to do this two weeks ago and found myself on the wrong pier; today I was on the right pier but wrong time :( I'm sure there was an 11.30 ferry last time! But as you can see, it was a fabulous day - everywhere so bright and colourful, reds and blues predominant. This pier has just been snazzied up and is now part of a marina!  The fishing boats and ferry use this section, and posh yachts are in another.

Back home, and a bit of warmth following wet weather has made everything grow enormous! We now have several very luxuriant meadow areas. I've cleared around trees, attempted to make paths into the wilder sections and did a bit of bed tidying up - the buttercups look far too lovely to be dealt with though.

After all that hard work a swim was required. Oh boy!!! It is so cold! A couple of hardy blokes had just been in and didn't even attempt to soften the news that it was freezing! Still you do feel virtuous afterwards.
