Oil Beetle
Today, in contrast to yesterday, was grey and rainy but the coolness was welcome.
This morning I met two friends who are TAs and LSAs at my old school for a coffee in Yeovil and a catch-up.
Then after lunch Paul and I headed up to Stourhead for a walk and some air. The rhododendrons and azaleas were stunning and the Moon daisies and bugle were out.
This fellow was walking through the grass by the lake and when I researched what it was at home, I found out that it is endangered and linked to the survival of solitary bees.It also gives off an oil in its joints, hence the name. I love that there is so much to learn about Nature.
