Day 94: Holy Island

So, restarted my trip after a lengthy stay at home (heating, internet, a bathroom, sky, a proper kitchen and did I mention the heating?) on Halloween, with a brand new (and my very own) camera. First stop of the Grand Tour (continued) was Lindisfarne. There should be some special reward for visiting Holy Island on All Saints' Day. There wasn't. I'd love to say I visited for the spirituality, I'd even love to say I visited for the history (Priory, Castle, Gospels) ...but in reality, travelled there because it was cool to drive the van over the causeway. And drinking all that Mead was no hardship either.
