Thomas the map-drawer

#3 daughter and family went to Alnwick Castle today and we had Thomas for the day. When he heard about yesterday’s treasure hunt he decided he’d make one with his toy dinosaur as the treasure and he’d draw the map, but I had to “hide” the dinosaur at the right place on the map and then he’d find it. We did this all over the garden. He’s 5 but made a good job of his map, showing all the paths and steps to find the right place. sometimes i had to enlarge the paper by sticking on another sheet with sellotape.

We took him home tonight. James was miffed he wasn’t getting to come back with us. full-on day tomorrow, but I have the dentist in the middle of it, to get the crown and she’ll out £255.
