Jewels
This morning's walk - we are back to wellies but it's warm and the dew is lovely. Haven't quite go the focusing right but am liking it anyway.
Sam is struggling a bit with the GCSE revision, whilst the elder two are on the home stretch. In fact Ben finished his 1st year University exams today - hooray, and James has his last one tomorrow.
I've been finalising an 'evidence' folder that shows why we think that Mum's needs weren't being met in the last months of her life. Given that Dad wrote us almost daily updates about the bumps, bruises, hypos etc. It seems obvious to me (anyone?) that she needed more support than she was getting.
But this moves us deep into the area/crisis of who is actually responsible for the elderly in the social care system and how to unpick and fund the needs of the individuals. As it stands, and as I understand it, you are entitled to care funding EXCEPT if you have dementia.
What a load of utter unfair rubbish! But that's a battle for another day...
