A damp day

The first rain during the day for several weeks.

Last year I was disappointed with  a new rose that I bought the previous year. I thought that it was the same as the one I had seen at Hampton Court Palace gardens, but was wrong. 

Well I tried again and this is it "Blue for You", very different and interesting. The buds before opening are a deep pink colour.

A busy day working on the nurses league "stuff". I treated myself to an hour of sewing to restore spirits and finish the block started at my sewing day last Friday.

Almost forgot to say, our baby blue tits have flown the nest box.
