Scrub Jay

A day of chores, but took an hour late this afternoon to sit on the front porch to see if another Western Tanager might come by.  I did not see a single one.  The usual assortment of birds came to the feeders, I ended up liking this scrub jay the best of all the shots.

 Early this morning while in the kitchen I looked out the window to see a doe and her fawn walk through my front yard right up onto the patio and across the driveway to the canyon.  By the time I had the camera out it was just the back sides of them.

Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful comments, stars and hearts on my Western Tanager yesterday.  I am so happy when I see one of them in the forest.
