I think it says something for the British attitude to politics and politicians that we still celebrate Guy Fawkes even though he was a failure - just think of the celebrations we'd had if he'd succeeded...

We'd walked in from Dan & Debbie's with Martin & Jules and returned for a Chinese and a short game (Trans America & Clans), and a viewing of J's music video which is among the 5 finalists in a competition.

Earlier E and I had gone shopping for curtains in Gamlingay (Chelford Fabrics, recommended) as we've one set that's crumbling away; then we had a walk in the fading light around Waresley Wood.
