Butterfly

I know no names of butterflies! I’m an absolute beginner here, as I am in photography! Can you help me with its name, please? When it had its wings closed, they were brown and would disguise very well on a tree trunk or a branch. It would resemble a leaf.

Just a quick walk along the road where I live... and now, to work.......
