always carry a spare

I love cars so I couldn't resist taking a snap of this beauty.
It has that reference to bygone days, soft top, walnut veneer, a myriad of dials and a spare tyre on the boot.
In the days of inflation devices and no spares this addition may be new to some readers, but yes... once upon a time we had actual full  spare tyres. They always gave me reassurance, that I was ready for that unexpected flat.
In days of self sufficiency we seldom feel the need for help, and have disposed of aids. But when things get tough, when pressure mounts, when we fail to negotiate that problem, where do we go for that re-assurance. Who has our back, like this tyre?
