Spoleto Charleston Day One

We spent a busy day in Charleston today, arriving at our hotel at around 10:30 and going directly to our first concert, Chamber Music IV. They performed a piece for oboe and piano, featuring the great James Austin Smith, two quartets, one by Glass and the other by Lin. Also performed was a Beethoven trio as well as a Handel duet. After lunch at Fast and French, we attended an early music concert at St Paul’s Church. Later, we saw Chucho Valdes leading a wonderful quartet. Leaving the concert, Gina met Martha Teichner of CBS News. One extra shot through a hotel lobby window.
