Too Heavy to Fly!?

Journey home on an Airbus A380 - as a pilot I find the sheer physics of getting this monster in the air quite astounding - fully laden with passenger and fuel this wonder of modern technology weighs a million pounds - and yet after a minute or so of rolling down a runway it lifts off and carries us up to 33,000 feet and even higher once they have burned off some of the fuel. Good to be home and sleeping off the 24 hours of no sleep!
