Shrouded

My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,

Today was a long day at work. I had to preview our system to selected  groups of users all over NZ via Skype in back-to-back-to-back-to-back meetings.

I noted, with some alarm? That toward the end of the day? All my sentences were starting to go up at the end?

The PERILS of dealing with Kiwis for prolonged periods of time.

On the plus side, they seemed to like the new system. Some of them were very excited about it. I even got applause from one person at a specific point in the presentation.

"Really?" I said. "Applause? For an IT system? Have you been drinking?"

She liked that.

I actually sounded a bit like a late-night infomercial at points. "BUT WAIT - there's more..." I found myself saying.

I totally gave the system the hard sell today. It had BETTER effing work.

Consequently, I left work later than usual today, which meant I got to take some pictures in the botanic gardens after dark (it gets dark about 5.30 here at the moment). As you know, I love taking pictures in the dark, so have posted a bunch of extras.

My main picture is of the botanic garden vantage lookout. The mist coming off the bay is illuminated by the city lights and I think it all looks rather ghostly.
