The Peak District
We left Devizes, and headed north, calling in at Ilam Park (National Trust property) . A fantasitc location, down a winding steep hill, having accessed if off the A515. We parked there and walked the miles or so to the stepping stones that E. had seen in February many years ago, when they were deserted...we were astonished at the number of people there, and only managed to get this shot of the stones without people walking accross because they had asked people to let the elderly lady cross .
For future reference, the NT property had a camp site with hard standing and electric hook ups, which was being used as an overflow car park...it would have been a fantastic place to stay.
We then went over the hills via Alstonfield / Hartington to Longnorwood, a "tranquil Park" site.
