The generosity of Oban

A couple of weeks ago I began visiting many of the shops in Oban on the cadge for gifts to be used in the Scottish Wildlife tombola in Oban tomorrow, Charities Day. The event is hosted by Oban & Lorn Lions Club.

Several businesses handed items over on the spot, others took a letter and asked me to call back. I did the rounds again today and ended up with around 90 items, several of them worth a fair bit. Our thanks to everyone who donated something.

Unfortunately the forecast tomorrow is for rain and thunderstorms - how uncharitable is that! I just hope that it's wrong and that the weather is as good as it's been for the last couple of weeks, today included.
