A Day Worth Recording

Diversion

We're off on our 'mystery holiday' which we've now learnt in in the Quantock hills.  From here the route should be 'mostly M5' but signs warned of a blockage further down and then it was evident that something else had happened just ahead of us, conveniently just about at a junction - so we took it.

Thus, we end up following signs to Tyntesfield.  A Victorian Gothic Revival House according to the blurb.  If that means ' looking like the architect was given three incomplete jigsaws to make one picture out of' then that would be accurate.

Not one on the return visit list, but provided a welcome break before picking our way over to the A38 and southward from there.  Diverted slightly to have a look at an NGS open garden, and even managed to be distracted by yet another open garden opposite the B&B we're staying at.
