Sitting on the Naughty Step
Salisbury's St Thomas' Church 'Spring into Summer Flower, Music & Art Festival' was on its penultimate day.
Northumbrian Pipers played traditional folk music in another part of the church.
Lots of older folk milled around, looking rather disapproving and/ or bossy, or took their time wandering about the displays, occasionally sweetly approving, as I tried to get photos that others weren't getting.
The organsiers used IPads the size of dinner plates, the older less tech savvy used tiny compacts from a few years ago. Me with my big camera.
To get this unusual view from behind, I had to sit on the red-carpeted first step leading to the choir stalls. My normal height and ugly downward distortion dominated. The ultrawide got it all in and also thankfully hardly anyone else, either.
Well worth going to for an hour, better if there's the live music, which is usually classical duets, all free, though there was a rather heavily suggested donations with Gift Aid on the way out. But without doubt a lot of patient hard work has gone into it all.
It ends tomorrow.
