Early morning by the Irwell

Manchester first thing this morning, and as the roads were so clear (half term) I was well ahead of schedule.

So I had a look at a few of the new developments on Salford’s border with Manchester. Lots of young people walking to work - the residents of the new apartment blocks around here.

This view is from Wilburn Street Basin looking south along the Irwell. Relevant to me, because something in this shot interrupted my day yesterday and took me some time to sort out.
