Kayaking on Kirk Park Pond

This afternoon we paddled our kayaks for the first time this summer on Kirk Park Pond.
It was so amazing to us as we rediscovered how much we enjoy the freedom to move around on the surface of the water and gain the perspective of being waterborne.
Slowly and quietly sliding up to the shore to observe otherwise an unreachable subject is a thrill every time.
"Shoveler" ducks are new to us, but the bull frog and great blue heron are familiar old friends.
