Male Mandarin

Up with the lark and went off to bushy park this morning. I love driving the 90 mins when there's no traffic. Can't say i enjoy the drive home as much when everyone has woken up and joined the M25 stop and park party. 
So i went specifically for a mandarin duck as i do like these pretty little things. What i wasn't expecting was to see the males with what appeared to be slightly ugly young. I didn't see one female. Slightly ugly yet cute youngster is an extra. 
Whilst there it's hard not to fall in love with the deer again. That was until i was sat on a log and it came running out of the undergrowth. I nearly fell backwards off of that log i can tell you. Thankfully it was early and no children were there yet or they might have learnt a new word ha ha ha.
Also found a parakeets nest and a blue tits nest. On the whole it was a great 3 hours there.
