Free flowers

I deliberately  left some of my pots with nothing but soil in them to see what would come up. Before I went away,  I noticed that they all contained weeds of some description,  but as they were not in flower, I didn't know what they were. 

I am now home and can see that one of the pots is full of ox-eye daisies. These daisies are native, edible wildflowers. Has anyone tried eating them?
