First Iris

Our pond is a year old, and this is our first iris. Splendid to see them. More buds lower down the stem too. I can understand why the Japanese like them so much.

Got to Open Church coffee morning with Basil. Heavy clouds on our return but virtually no rain even though the weather was sultry enough to promise storms.

George, Kat and William arrived late afternoon. William had had a long nap.  Barbecue of M&S 'best burgers,' which I can recommend, mini sausages and chicken for Kat. 

I even made a coleslaw.

William is asleep in his travel cot while George and Kat have a night out.
