Small world

We went to visit our parents today, and when we both go and take Reggie we always start with a walk on the beach so that he is tired out !

This morning another dog walker commented that his wife was from Idle, almost Airedale. Mr H commented that he had been an Idle Fireman, an old ‘joke’ to which the man said he’d been a firefighter in London. Turns out they’d both been in the LFB at the same time and had just missed out being at the same station at the same time. They caught up on lots of friends in common they had, and Reggie got an extra long time to play on the beach.

Lovely morning spent with Mr H’s parents, and then this afternoon with mine. Awful HEAVY showers (biblical rain) on the way home but all back safely.

Extra is the DFDS ferry berthed in North Shields alternatively known as the butter boat.
