Fiestas in Spain are an important cultural event....my Blip shows a procession, as part of Alicante’s current Hogueras Fiestas....
which take place every June.......these attract thousands of visitors to the City

Meanwhile, one should comment that today we have a new Prime Minister........Mariano Rajoy faced a motion of no confidence, on Friday in the Parliament in Madrid.......and, as a result Pedro Sanchez was sworn in as Spain’s new Prime Minister on 1st June. This is the first time in recent history, since the establishment of democracy in 1975, that such an event has taken place. We live in interesting times.
