Hobbs's Run

Wimmin's 'ats

Occasionally I come across interesting items in shop windows.

There is a line in Witness For The Prosecution where Charles Laughton's curmudgeonly counsel for the defence declares ... "I am constantly amazed that women's hats do not provoke more murders".  Of course that script was conceived in an era where women DID wear lots more hats than they do today. Worse luck. Still .. I am somewhat encouraged by the faintly ridiculous creative headwear which still appears at royal weddings.
