Rays

You'd think this was the deepest darkest countryside. In fact, this is Sibelius Park, between us and the Sibelius Monument.

Out for an evening stroll after a great day and then an excellent fishy meal. We largely covered the same ground as last weekend with P and H (which wasn't at all boring for us, not least because lots of different flowers have come out in the meantime, and - anyway - the company was different). Regatta for coffee, walk to Seurasaari, wander around the island admiring its views and wonderful environment, boat to Kauppatori, and then wander around the old market hall. After that, we varied the pattern somewhat, by getting the tram to Hakaniemi, where we picked up food to cook for supper from the market, and then tram back here.

The evening wander was in great light - with lots of people out enjoying themselves including quite a few groups of young people in the parks (it's high school graduation weekend) - and yielded views of the Sibelius Monument when it wasn't stuffed with tourists.
