Old farm implement and a fine view

I should have blipped the view yesterday when the weather was finer, but you get the idea. It's a lovely spot in any weather.* 

I'm not sure exactly what the rusty old implement is, so if you know please enlighten me.

Final instalment of 'A Very English Scandal' tonight. It's been a highly enjoyable drama with a sprinkling of farce.
