A day in London

We had an amazing day out in London today. We caught the early train and were there before 10. We went to St Paul’s then onto Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. We stumbled across a rehearsal for the trooping of the colour next week. All the queens guards were lining the Mall and we saw a procession of horses, they were beautiful. We then fought through the crowds and had drink and snacks in st. James Park where I shared my cookie with a very friendly squirrel! Westminster next to see Big Ben and the London eye followed by Covent Garden where we had late lunch and watched some fantastic street performances. We then ended the day in Hamley’s where the children got to choose one thing each. Such a fabulous fun day. Alexander especially loved the trains, tubes and buses and couldn’t wait to get his new bus home to add to his collection.
