It could be worse

Hello Blippers! Hope your all well!

Let me explain why I chose this blip for today. As many of you know, I have been really stressed over my prelims for the past few days, and I've definitely been feeling it today. But, as many British Blippers will know (Not sure about other countries), The electronics retailer Comet has recently gone into administration, leaving more than 6,500 jobs at risk.

Seeing and hearing about this sort of thing makes me realise how lucky I am. There is thousands of people who may be losing their jobs just before Christmas, which I know, after the collapse of FlyGlobespan (My Auntie worked for them) is a very tough thing to face. As stressed as I feel right now, I can't even begin to imagine what these people might be feeling.

Originally, I was going to put up this photo of 2 horses and their riders who had wandered lost into our street, but I felt this one was more appropriate for my mood.

Anyway, today was another walk in the woods, although not a very long one. Later on, I went to my sisters to get a haircut. As well as working in an elderly care home, she is also a hairdresser. I'm quite close to her, although technically she is my step-sister as she has a different Mum. In a weird way, I feel like I can talk to her more than I can to my parents or my brother.

We went shopping later (Where this Comet store was), and it was dark before 5PM. Nothing too exciting happened when we got home. I just did a lot of revision in preparation for the start of my prelims tomorrow - 2 Geography (General, the middle level, and Credit, the highest level) Then a computing one in the afternoon (Intermediate 2 - another way of saying the highest level). Although it is stressful (Especially being 'The smart one', as I've been branded), I just keep reminding myself that since these are just basically practice exams, they won't be too important.

Have a nice week, and sorry if the long type up along with the many links bored you.

Steven :)
