New life

What a difference a day makes, weather-wise.  Hot yesterday, cool, mizzly and overcast today with a stiff breeze.

JJ and I took a trip out this morning and on our way into the village of Turvey a kite swooped down onto the road about a hundred yards ahead but failed to pick up a bit of roadkill due to the amount of traffic around.  An amazing sight of such a big bird.

All the birds seem to have fledged at once.  There have been coal tits, great tits and blue tits flitting in and out all day, but I liked the expression on the face of this baby coal tit.
