Blocked

My usual route to work is blocked off by the works associated with the new library. The quickest way to avoid the blockage is to cut through the building next door, which houses the newspaper Helsingen Sanomat and some other firms. The backside of their elevator shafts makes for a striking image.

An unremarkable work day, sorting out some things related to our departure (but other things that need sorting arrived by post at home at the same time leaving me feeling I'd taken one step forwards and two steps backwards). A spinning class to try and jolt my system out of its weekend somnolence.

The weather is still quite good, but now it's very windy and rather colder than it was. A northerly airstream has arrived, and that means that with it being a flag day (Finnish Armed Forces day and the birthday of Marshall Mannerheim) the flags are visible for all to see.
