Still seven

I met up with T at Blackford Pond today to catch up on the cygnets who I last saw a week ago. They have grown, of course, and were swimming about more strongly.

We then went on to Craiglockhart Pond where one of the cygnets had sadly disappeared, it was thought due to a fox. There were only two mallard ducklings, probably out of the ten I saw last time. However, there were three young coots (one more than before, must have been hiding in the undergrowth) and all the five baby moorhens were around the swan's nest where they had been before.
