taken by granddad in 1918

we've been here even longer than i thought!

uninspired today, so i was having a mooch through some of granddad's albums looking for a particular photo of dad and granny at the 4th of June. i failed to find it, so this will have to do instead.

the woman in the photograph is Venetia Fripp, daughter of Sir Alfred Fripp, surgeon to Edward VII and George V.  i only remember her as a very old woman, so it's nice to see her in her younger days.
