The Beaver Pond
Sunny but quite chilly today....still not back up to the temps we were hoping for at this time of year!
Spent a couple of hours cleaning greenware in the studio, listening to a great new book on cd, by Isabel Allende "In the Midst of Winter".....set in New York, bringing together 3 main characters, a woman from Chile, another woman from Guatemala and a guy of Jewish descent....really great read! I love her writings. Getting ready to load a kiln tomorrow, i've been putting it off due to the back issues. So Terry will be given the task of loading the bisque, with my supervision.....i don't like that, but it is the only way it will get loaded at the moment. I do actually trust he can deal with it, it's just that the pieces are at their most fragile and you have to bend over into the 5' space to get the pieces on the bottom shelf!!! oh well, it's only pots!!!
We went for a walk down to the beaver pond, which is about a 45 - 55 minute walk, the longest i've been for a while....it was mostly great, but by the last 10-15 minutes i was a bit uncomfortable.
