Cornish Jungle

The Gunnera are taking over the gardens at Meudon. I always think this plant looks like it really could be a triffid. If it was equipped with tentacles and moved around at night, it would not surprise me in the least.

P.s. The Gunnera is edible. In Chile they chop the stalks up like celery and eat it. It tastes - well ... wet, green and crunchy.
