Friends

We have been friends for over 50 years. My pal emigrated to Australia in 2000 and it's been almost ten years since we last met. There we were sitting on the veranda at 5am this morning blethering away. They have been to Ireland, Crete and Jersey to visit friends and relatives and I was the last on their list. They are now off on a two week adventure round the Highlands before going back over to Australia. Out of all the folks I went to school with,she was one of the few people I kept in contact with, probably because she's as daft as myself. Parting was hard this morning.
